Gangnam 88, Sunway Giza

ever since the K-Pop fever hit Malaysia...
everything from Korea seems to be the "in-thing"...
the song Gangnam Style was so famous even a kid knows how to sing and dance...
what would be better to name a restaurant after the "Gangnam"?
- Gangnam 88 -
Gangnam 88
a Korean BBQ restaurant located in Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara...
they started in Mont Kiara and this Giza outlet is the second one...
entrance
in the restaurant, looking out through the entrance...
this outlet is much bigger compared to their first one...
i have never been to the Mont Kiara outlet, information was given by a friend who is their VIP...
seats
view from where i seated...
i was seated next to the glass window, overlooking the mall...
so far, it's my favourite seating spot...
counter
 their cashier counter...
not sure if those caps are on sales...
will have to find out the next time i visit...
main dining area
why would i say this is the main dining area?
simply because this area is where straight from the entrance...
the sofa seats look comfortable...
but i wouldn't prefer seating here unless i got no choice...
why? check out the next picture...
bar & kitchen
the main dining area was too close to the kitchen...
though might be easier to get service...
but i still prefer a little privacy and most important...
don't really want to smell like Korean BBQ after the meal~ =D
menu
menu was nicely printed and laminated...
every item was described in 2 languages -- English and Korean...
and of course pictures of the item was printed too...
pretty simple to read... =)
side dishes
 like the other Korean restaurants...
refillable side dishes were provided...
though it was very much simpler compared to the others...
though i still prefer the side dishes in Dae Jung Gum...
but i have no complaint to theirs...
Kimchi-jjigae  RM 20.00
Gangnam 88's version of kimchi soup...
it was quite good, only i prefer a hotter and spicier one...
this would be perfect for those non-spicy eaters...
Dwaeji-galbi (Small)  RM 33.00
Dwaeji-galbi is their version of BBQ pork slices...
i'm in love with this dish...
pork slices marinated with their savoury sauce recipe...
very tasty and flavourful~
Gangnam 88 offered BBQ dishes that they cooked it for you in the kitchen...
what a great place to have BBQ right? ^^
complimentary steamed egg
all BBQ dishes served with this complimentary steamed egg...
it was not bad, but could be better if they put some salt in it...
just my personal preference... =)
Maesil Cha (Hot)  RM 7.00
we finished our meal with a cup of Maesil Cha...
Maesil Cha is basically a Korean plum tea...
i kinda like the not overpowering sour taste...
the main reason why we ordered the tea was not really because we wanted a tea...
it was mainly because of the cutie tea spoon... XD
smile~
a very cute tea spoon came along with the tea...
seriously, the tea spoon made my day~
i was having a lousy day and the smiley face on the tea spoon reminded me to smile...
nothing should take the smile away from us...
so, keep smiling...
it will turns out fine eventually~ =)

overall, Gangnam 88 was a good place to hang around...
food was good, environment was good, service was okay...
owner is a Korean guy, very friendly and always greet his customers with a lovely smile...
i'm craving for the galbi again though i just had for lunch today...
would love to visit their first outlet in Mont Kiara...
perhaps next gathering and to order Beer Chicken for sure... =D
