revisit: Craft Brews, Mutiara Damansara

as i mentioned in my last post about Craft Brews...
i won a tower of beer on my BFF's birthday celebration~
as i don't want to waste the tower of beer...
me and Bei actually went back and finish the tower...
Brutal IPA Tower  RM 199.00
it cost RM 199.00 originally?! my god!
i didn't realise it until just now i refer back to the receipt...
Brutal IPA was nice...
easily taste the very strong malt taste in it...
but, seriously, 1 tower for 2 was crazy... =D
it was a late dinner...
hence, our orders were "light"...
Caesar Salad  RM 18.00
 Caesar Salad with bacon...
the most fattening salad...
but it was nice! at least the croutons were fresh and crunchy...
Pork Skewers  RM 18.00
this is superb! i love it!
roasted pork topped with spices and burned it like doing Satay~
OMG!! it was so nice!! hmm...
miss it already~
Home-made Crispy Wedges  RM 10.00
after the last time i had their wedges from the meat platter~
i was actually missing their wedges everyday...
i didn't expect it to be so many in 1 portion...
too bad, we can't finish the wedges...
but it was really really nice!
saltiness was just nice and with the crispiness...
wow! was so good with the beer~
Craft Brews is really a great place for a group of friends to hang out...
of course it would be even better if everyone from the group drink...
haha~ well... it is also good for dinner though...
non-drinkers, they served good food! ^^

movie: What's Your Number?

What's Your Number?
when i first saw the name of this movie, i once thought it's a horror or ghost movie...
until i see the poster of the movie...

watched this funny movie 2 days ago...
i know, i'm kinda outdated...
so, let's stop the grandmother story and focus on the movie~
movie started with Ally woke up in the early morning...
sneaked out from the bed and went into the bathroom to make herself up...
then the man sleeping beside her woke up and asked:
"why do you always look so great in the early morning?"
haha~ well... the man of course is not her mr right...
she broke up with him when she invited him to be her partner for her sister's wedding...
that's the starting part of the movie~
movie goes into the climax when Ally attended Daisy's bachelor party...
and she thrown a party game where the girls got to write down how many man they've slept with...
from the picture, that's Ally's expression when she found that she got the highest!
a total of 19 man... she slept with everyone that she has dated before~
and she make a promise to herself that the No. 20 would be her husband...
something happened after the party (wanted to know what happened? watch it!) =P
Ally started to look for every man that she has slept with before...
see if they can get back together and she can maintain the at 20...
that is how Ally and Collin's story started...
Collin is Ally's neighbour, a man that have 1 night stand every night...
yes! he changes his sex partner everyday...
but he is good in investigation...
Collin working real hard to find every man in Ally's list...
and he managed to get every man except one!
every time Ally met with her ex-boyfriend...
she will share the experience with Collin...
and the funniest one is when she met the doctor...
he actually remember her virgina but not her...
hahaha! after meeting so many of her ex...
she finally realized Collin is the decent man that she has been looking for~
(i've cut short quite a big part... please watch the movie to find out the real story...)
when she found Collin, he was performing for a wedding...
to pull him aside, she went up to the stage and announced for a break...
of course~ the ending will always be they finally got together...
that is why i love romance comedy...
what Daisy said is so true...
"being in love is to be yourself..."
when a man can love you as who you are, he is the decent man that you are looking for...
and girls, stop changing your man... because it goes both way~
To Love~ ^^

Bangkok Wasabe, Kota Damansara

i seriously think that those super deal websites are the great creations...
they provide business to those outlets that might going to die soon...
provide the great offers to the public...
and of course, they earn from it!
but, who cares? as long as we can get a what we want at a very good price...
Bangkok Wasabe is one of the restaurants that in my "to be tried" list...
but it always never comes into my mind when i'm looking for something to eat~
until i bought the voucher from MyDeal...
Crazy Thai Combo for 2 at RM29 nett...
such a great deal right?
i really like their logo... so cute!
they have very nice ambiance...
from where i sat, it was the lower part of the restaurant...
cozy and comfortable lighting...
this is where we seated...
upper part of the restaurant...
comfortable sofa... ^^
the voucher i bought came with drinks for 2...
we chose:
Thai Iced Tea
and...
Fresh Thai Coconut...
it was actually the snack voucher which came with:-
first, the snack platter...
Thai Snack Platter: spring rolls, fish cakes and prawn rolls...
it was quite good...
i especially like the spring rolls very much~
then, we had the very famous Thai dish:
the Mango Salad...
very generous mango in it...
and was a great appetizer as it opened my taste bud...
followed by, another famous Thai dish:
Pandan Chicken~
chicken wrapped with pandan leave and deep fried...
hmm~ the fragrance of the pandan plus the juicy tender chicken...
yum!  it was really nice!
3 of us went together...
the snacks were definitely not enough...
that's why we had some extra order...
Tom Yam Seafood  RM 17.00
the Tom Yam Seafood was for 2 to 3 person...
it was great! the sourness and the spiciness were just nice!
Pineapple Fried Rice  RM 9.00
the Pineapple Fried Rice was kinda disappointing...
we were expecting to have it served in half a pineapple...
it was not, and the taste was kinda weird...
and we found something very interesting to us...
chilli in Thai soya sauce...
i didn't expect it to be salty...
but it tasted just like our soya sauce...
i don't know whether is it the Thai soya sauce...
if you know what it actually is, kindly share with me~ ^^
there was a dessert included in the voucher...
Thai style dessert
first taste of this dessert was weird...
maybe because it was my first try...
after a few spoons, i actually can't stop having it...
it was surprisingly nice to me...
big mirror on the wall to make the restaurant looks more spacious...
i like the big mirror...
like their service, their food, their ambiance...
overall was a very good dining experience...
and we found that their ala carte pricing is actually quite reasonable...
maybe when i craving for Thai food, i can actually go back to Bangkok Wasabe~ =)

movie: Battleship

there's a hot topic among my family members recently...
talking about the new released movie
- Battleship -
directed by Peter Berg, and written by Enrich Hoeber and Jon Hoeber...
an action, adventure and science fiction film...
starring by Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgard, Taylor Kitsch, Josh Pence, Brooklyn Decker and Rihanna...
i decided to watch it after everyone around me was telling me that it was so nice~
some of them even said that if compare it with Transformer, it is better...
with all the good comments, we decided to watch it in 2D...

this is the SUPERSTAR of the movie...
the real Battleship~
which already 70 years old... was a museum to the Americans...
and she can still fight for the people~
i love the words from the retired Navy :"they can sink this battleship NO WAY!"
at the very beginning, Alex Hopper (stared by Taylor Kitsch) was a man that screwed his life up...
i kinda like how he met with Sam (Brooklyn Decker), the story about Chicken Burrito~
and so happened, the father of Sam is the Admiral of the Navy, Admiral Shane (Liam Neeson)...
his brother, Stone Hopper (Alexander Skarsgard) forced him to join the Navy with him...
that's how he joined the Navy and begin his earth saving path~
well, as we all know Brooklyn Decker is hot and sexy~
of course the director will give her the chance to show the best of her...
wow! isn't that hot and sexy?
who is that "little boy" holding the machine gun?
no no no! is not a boy... let's see...

taa daa... yes! is Rihanna, the pop singer~
i was surprise with her acting skill in the big screen...
never thought that she could play a character so well...
well, at least she looked natural with the character...
Raikes, the only girl on board...
but very good in controlling the machine gun...
she's kinda talented huh~
throughout the whole film, there was a very powerful weapon where brought by the Aliens...
it's like a rolling ball... but it damaged everything that it rolled on it...
it must be the idea from Transformer...
it looks similar with the Decepticons' weapon...
i didn't mean to show Brooklyn Decker in the photo...
why i used this photo is to show the great man besides her...
Micke, the retired army...
the one who fight with the Aliens on the grounds when Alex and his crews fighting on the sea~
he lost his legs in a war... and he lost his fighting will together with the legs...
until he found that there were Aliens on top of the mountain...
he refused to run away, he stayed and fight to keep the Earth life for one more day...
like his words to Sam when Sam asked him to leave but he walked to the opposite way...
"I never seen aliens in my life, have you?"
haha! i like him!
it was a good movie...
is like telling us that we are not alone~
don't ever simply mess with other planet as we do not know what are they and how strong they can be...
just like we've been talking about moving to other planets...
have we ever think that is the residents of the planet willing to accept us?
haha~ interesting... =D

Plan B, Bangsar Village I

it was a birthday celebration for one of my BFF~
first of all, i would like to apologize to her...
on the lower quality photos of her big day...
i know she will understand and forgive me... =P
***
Plan B in Bangsar Village I~
on 5th of March 2012...
10 of us... gathered together to wish our best friend a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY...
it was a great dinner gathering...
not so fancy, but sweet and warm~
let's see what we had...
started with the very meaningful sentence on the menu...
When life gives you lemons, make LEMONADE...
when i saw this drink, i thought it was Ice Coffee or whatever~
surprisingly, it wasn't... and it actually tasted quite good...
Frosty Lemon Tea  RM 9.00
then, i saw another drink which green in colour~
i thought i was something to do with mint or apple...
again, i was wrong... well~ who will know the mixture of Lychee and Lime will be green?
ya! now i know... so do you~ XD
Lychee Lime  RM 9.00
this time, i won't be wrong again...
white in colour~ smooth, sweet and milky...
it's milkshake~
Butterscotch Milkshake  RM 10.00
i as usual will have my mocha...
the spoiled coffee art... but the mocha was good!
i wish they could served a bigger glass... ha!
Mocha  RM 8.00
and my Bei too... as usual will has his cup of latte~
when the latter was served, i was wondering...
is that the coffee art? no, i supposed...
Latte  RM 6.00
i guess my BFF love milkshake...
another milkshake but different flavor...
it was too milky, it would be good if they could put a little more chocolate syrup in it...
Chocolate Milkshake  RM 10.00
this is the best presented drink of the night~
i love this hot chocolate... it wasn't too sweet...
and not over chocolaty... hmm~
Hot Chocolate  RM 8.00
oh gosh~ i missed out the complimentary plain water...
2 big bottles of plain water on the table...
can be refilled too... ^^
okay~ let's move on to our food...
the Birthday Girl wanted to keep her body fit~
hence, she had only sandwich...
grilled chicken, turkey bacon, roasted capsicums & avo and feta mash,
stacked on egg mayo spread, held together by 3 slices of their home-made white bread...

well~ it was not bad, but i won't say it was nice too...
the grilled chicken wasn't juicy, it was hard and dry...
but the portion was good! she can't even finish the whole sandwich...
The Loaded Club  RM 20.00
i've never try any pasta with lamb before...
one of our mains was spaghetti with lamb meatball...
served with smoky eggplant and tomato sauce...
it was quite good... i like the lamb meatball and the eggplant~
it would be perfect if it was not too oily towards the end...
Moroccan Lamb Meatballs  RM 22.00
softshell crab with pasta was also my first try...
it was a fusion dish, combination of Asian and Western...
spaghetti tossed in creamy butter sauce, topped with crispy curry leaves and chili flakes...
it was not the taste i like~ i don't like the curry leave taste...
but my friends were saying it was quite good too...
Asian Style Golden Softshell Crab Spaghetti  RM 22.00
Plan B is very creative on their pastas...
crab meat with linguine, what a new match...
perhaps, i didn't experience enough on food industry~
but it was good... not too fishy...
maybe because they scented with lemongrass and kaffir lime,
and tossed with tomatoes, garlic and spiced prawn oil...
Spicy Crabmeat Linguine  RM 22.00
my main was the best dish of the night... (only my personal point of view)
home-made patties with melted cheddar, served with fries and onion rings...
the patties were juicy and well marinated...
hmm... i miss the burger already~ it was really nice...
p/s: it's a beef burger, for those who can't take beef, please be aware~ ^^
Double Cheese Burger  RM 23.00
Plan B served quite a number of Asian dishes too...
one of it is Nasi Dagang...
served with gulai chicken, acar rampai, solok lada and keropok...
Nasi Dagang  RM 24.00
pasta marinara is always the safest choice...
no matter how terrible the chef is, it will always taste almost the same~
tossed with tomato sauce, capers, fresh prawns and calamari...
ingredients were fresh... portion was good...
Pasta Marinara  RM 22.00
Plan B served a couple of vegetarian dishes too...
we must take care of our friend's diet too ma... XD
linguine with wild mushrooms, scented with thyme truffle oil...
Wild Mushroom Linguine  RM 19.00
we can't call it as birthday celebration without cake cutting ceremony...
so, we ordered a tiny cake from the display fridge...
sang the birthday song, blew the candle and cut the cake~
although the cake was not nice, but we enjoyed ourselves throughout the ceremony...
Strawberry Cheesecake  RM 9.00
it was a great birthday dinner... we enjoyed ourselves...
the beauty part of this dinner was no matter where's our working place...
we took the effort, travel around... just to send our wishes to our best friends~
love my BFF much... ^^
all of us~ photo courtesy by a passers-by...
overall, Plan B was a nice place to go~
their food and drinks were okay with reasonable price...
nice ambiance, cozy and comfortable...
service was quite okay, but there is still rooms for improvement~
would like to visit their new branch in Publika, Solaris Dutamas...
