Alam Damai, Cheras

Merry Christmas world~
the last festive of the year and we are about to say goodbye to 2013...
2013 has been really good, though towards the end went a bit haywire...
but i believe everything happened for a reason~
i might not see it today, but one day i will know eventually...
and i'm sure God is blessing me... =)

  no major celebration this year...
only had my favourite udon as simple lunch with bei after a painful treatment...
since we went all the way to Cheras for treatment...
we tried our luck at Daimon Yokocho if we could get the best seller udon...
i only had it once on our first visit and this time again, disappointed...
so, we went on with other recipes of udon...
this non spicy savoury broth udon was really good...
though it was not as good as the signature pork bone soup...
but definitely a good second choice~
the braised pork was melting in my mouth and i'm loving it!!
spicy tomato broth was thick and spicy with strong tomato flavour...
it was really flavourful as i can see bei was really enjoying it...
i find it a bit too spicy but definitely went well with the handmade udon...
pork cutlet was served separately...
Pork Cutlet
pork cutlet that served with bei's spicy tomato udon...
the cutlet was okay...
deep fried to perfection, juicy and crispy...
Soft Boiled Egg
all udon served with half a soft boiled egg...
i always like this Japanese soft boiled egg...
but i think today's one was slightly tasteless...
too busy maybe?
one of the side dishes we ordered...
their gyoza was good...
perfectly pan fried, very juicy and tender~
BBQ Saba Fish 烧鲭鱼  RM 16.90
i wanted to order another fish that was in the menu...
the waiter recommended Saba, saying that it has lesser bone...
Saba is always my favourite, of course i will take his advise...
and yes! their Saba was really good...
fresh, well marinated and tender...
we didn't even put the lemon juice on it...
a very nice Christmas lunch i had! =)

we actually had another good dining experience with them too few months back...
we went all the way to look for the signature pork bone broth udon of course...
though it was sold out, but we had good dinner there...
this was when we found the spicy tomato broth was good...
spicy but not overpowering...
chicken strip was cooked to perfection and tender...
same broth but this was with beef...
beef was tender and nice too..
the spicy broth was really spicy...
i find it overly spicy and i can hardly get the taste of other items...
not a good one for me but it will definitely be a good choice if your spicy level is really good..
have to mention again the braised pork was awesome!!
not only well marinated, also melt in mouth~
double thumbs up!! =D
Grilled Brinjal 烧茄子  RM 7.90
 we are all brinjal lover...
this grilled brinjal was really good...
grilled with teriyaki sauce if i'm not mistaken...
soft yet chewy~ perfect for brinjal... tasty!!
like others grilled squid...
grilled to perfection with teriyaki sauce...
slightly flavourful than others due to the chopped seaweed and ebiko on top...
a good side dishes to order...

Daimon Yokocho served the best udon in town...
though it was slightly far from where i live...
but i will definitely go back again and again...
but next time, i will remember to call and book for my pork bone broth udon... =P
