Vin's Restaurant & Bar, TTDI

38 Gang's November 2013 gathering was to celebrate San's birthday...
surprisingly, she planned very much earlier this time...
(she always celebrates her birthday reluctantly) =P
date, time and even venue were all given very much earlier~
i have no idea where she found this restaurant which hidden in a quiet area of TTDI...
Vin's Restaurant & Bar
it was really near for me to reach Vin's...
parking wasn't an issue at all...
not sure whether we were too early on that day~
menu
walked into the restaurant, we were greeted by the friendly staff...
their lovely smile did added some extra points...
menu was given right away~ efficient enough!
another plus point... =)
high tables & chairs
this area will be good for those who wants to enjoy happy hour after work with some bites...
not practical for dinner as the table was quite small...
dining areas & bar
 the ambiance was good...
lights were perfectly deemed, not too dark...
tables and chairs were nicely arranged...
sofa seats
good for family or small group dinner crowd...
leather made sofa seats and chairs were comfortable...
Asahi (pint)  RM 19.00
 Jian needed a beer desperately...
started their dinner with a full pint of Asahi...
Caffe Latte  RM 6.50
as usual, my bei ordered his all time favourite -- latte...
the layers made the latte looks so good...
it was quite okay anyway~
Vin's Chicken Nachos  RM 28.90
nachos topped with shredded chicken, salsa and cheese...
one of their favourite bar bites...
it was a good appetizer to kick start the dinner...
Caesar Salad  RM 16.90
 ordinary caesar i would say...
nothing special to shout about and not the best i've eaten...
Wild Mushroom Soup  RM 15.90
this was highly recommended by the waiter...
when i saw the price, i was telling bei that it better worth the value...
and yes! it was really a great mushroom soup...
thick, creamy and every bites also full of minced mushroom...
served with toast, one of the best in town~
Claypot Spicy Lamb Masala  RM 23.00
this was good! though i only got to taste a small bite...
but it was really good...
not only good as bar bite, also can be a good main if you are looking for a light one...
so flavourful and the lamb was so tender...
served with crusty bread~
Traditional Aglio Olio  RM 23.00
additional beef bacon at RM 5.00
i didn't get to try on this aglio olio...
but since there's no complain, i will take it as an okay one... =D
Mogul Masala Pizza  RM 29.90
 also recommended by the waiter...
as bei was craving for pizza, we were actually looking at the salmon seafood pizza...
since waiter recommended, we decided to take his advise...
a truly fusion pizza!
marinated chicken cubes with finely sliced chili, topped with Greek feta cheese onions...
squeeze the lime on top, the flavour lingers around...
hmm~ a very tasty and crunchy pizza...
The Herb Grilled Salmon  RM 36.00
i was craving for a fish main as usual...
thought of having another fish dish in their menu, unfortunately it was not available...
then the waiter guaranteed that the grilled salmon is a great one...
served with spinach ragout and herb butter drips...
tell you what~ this herb grilled salmon is to die for...
the salmon was nicely marinated with herbs and grilled to perfection...
tender, juicy and tasty!!
put in the mouth together with the spinach and drips gave another mixture of flavour~
it was so so so delicious!! highly recommended!!
Fettuccine Carbonara  RM 28.90
 carbonara was normal...
i still think Mezze served the best carbonara in town...
so far have never eaten any that could beat it... ^^
Treacle Cake Pudding  RM 16.90
this cake pudding was the birthday cake of the day~
though it wasn't the best dessert but it served it's purpose well...
i didn't quite like it because it was too milky to me...
what to do? my mum forgot my sweet tooth when she gave birth to me... =P
38 Gang
this was the best group photo ever...
we normally have problem when it comes to group shot...
either couldn't get anyone to help, or the workers don't know how to function my DSLR...
lucky, the waiter who served us throughout the whole night...
not only served us well, but also quite good in photography...
i seriously think that he deserved the credit...
he remembered our names although not everyone, but those who mentioned, he remembered...
he was really alert, refilled our water, cleared our empty plates as soon as we finished...
checked with us whether the food was okay...
very attentive, very alert, very good in communicating with customers...
if i wasn't leaving my job that time, i think i would have asked him to join the society...
too bad i couldn't remember his name, but i'm sure i can remember his face if i see him again...
so, bring me along if you are going... XD
