The Hill, Damansara Heights

i work in Damansara Heights area and i didn't know that i've never blogged about any restaurant in this area until i wanted to blog about The Hill~
ya~ it's really rare for me to hang around this area, maybe i should start exploring the area... =D
heard about The Hill many many times and all i know about it was they served very nicely presented cocktails at a very reasonable price...
it was an after work Thursday night... dated her for dinner as we have not catch up with each other quite a long time~ i mean, privately...
"just go around your area there, is on my way home too..." she said~
that's how we chose, or i should say i chose The Hill...
The Hill
upon my arrival, i saw the restaurant was located up hill... i suppose that's the reason why the owner named the restaurant as "The Hill"~
from the outside, i can already see the very nice ambiance...
as i walked up to the restaurant, i was greeted by a few friendly waiters and waitresses...
they asked me where would i like to sit...
looking at the environment, first floor will be really good for photo taking but i can foresee the later part when all the tables are taken it will be really noisy...
so, i asked for a quieter area and they leaded me to the second floor~
second floor was really quiet and with dimmed lights...
chose my table, sat down and wait for my lady...
paint on the wall
as soon as she arrived, we made our orders and because we have ordered quite a number of food, we requested to shift to a bigger table...
i spotted the very nice paint when i was seated at the new table~
the paint was hanging on the wall right in front of me...
i think it will look nice too hanging on the wall of my big dining hall at home, if only i have one... XD
Watermelon Slush  RM 40.00
we had their best seller cocktail for sharing...
i think it was designed for the lovebirds~ look, it's so lovey... ^^
it was refreshing and nice~
using the Smirnoff Vodka and watermelon juice as the base, mixed with Midori and Lychee Liquer...
you've got to poke the watermelon with the straw, but be careful...
don't poke too hard or you will get a hole at the bottom like i got... embarrassing~ =S
Soup of the Day  RM 12.00
do always check with the waiter what's their soup of the day...
we had mushroom soup and it was rich and every bite was full with minced mushrooms~
Chili Clams (half portion)  RM 16.00
i always love clams, more so it was cooked in chili wine broth (stated on the menu)...
we ordered the half portion as it was only 2 of us...
full portion available at RM 28.00~
it was nice, the clams were fresh and the broth was so nice for dipping with the toasted baguette...
Caesar Salad  RM 18.00
nothing special to shout, just a normal Caesar Salad...
wasn't the best i had before~ still prefer the one in Dave's or Craft Brews...
so sad that Craft Brews was replaced by another restaurant...
Ebi Maki  RM 24.00
the maki was quite okay, of course can't expect it to be as good as what the Japanese or sushi restaurant served...
she end up having most of the maki~ sorry dear, you know i can't eat as much as you can... =D
The Hill Signature Pan Fried Salmon  RM 38.00
 this was great!! so yummy!!
salmon was pan fried to perfection, juicy and not overly fishy...
wrapped with their special house batter and bedded on sauteed spinach...
it was so flavourful and it's definitely to die for~
hmm... i'm craving for it now...
Coconut Panna Cotta  RM 18.00
a meal that without a dessert is not a complete meal~
therefore, to complete our meal, we had our dessert...
as we were so full, we can't afford any cakes...
Panna Cotta was something that i always wanted to try and she has never eaten any before~
we had their Coconut Panna Cotta with cherry reduction...
it was not bad as the fragrance and the taste of the coconut was just nice...

BFF
oh yes! that's my partner in crime... =D
imagine both of us wiped everything we ordered clean...
even the waiter was shock when he was taking our order...
we had good dining experience at The Hill...
everything was good - the environment, the ambiance, the service, the food, the drinks, most important the company~
but, the valet parking was a cheat!!
it cost me RM10 and i thought i could park my car right in front as i don't want to risk myself walking too far at night...
and guess what, they just simply parked my car at the roadside which i can do it myself, so at the first place why should i pay the RM10?
never mind, for the first time, i take it as charity... strictly no more valet parking for the next visit!!
