oh~ TGIF and tomorrow is holiday! =D
so, what am i doing on this holiday eve sitting in front of my old laptop and hitting the keyboard...
well~ i'm just too old to party... =P
haha~ okay... enough of all the bullshitting...
the well known steak house Jake's charbroil steak has a new 'baby'...

this newly opened restaurant was hiding behind of the busy hawker stalls~
in fact it's facing the main road, but why i said behind is because i walking from another end towards it...
quiet, not crowded and cozy...
it was a working day and my usual lunch-mate was on leave~
took the chance to enjoy a quiet lunch myself and too try out the food from 'baby' of Jake's...
as soon as i was seated, the waitress gave me only the drinks and set lunch menu...
didn't have many choices though~

set lunch came with bottomless ice lemon tea~
it was a good ice lemon tea...
rich and balance, can taste the tea and lemon very well...

| Beef Lasagne (set) RM 28.00 |
though it was not the best that i've eaten, but the lasagne was quite good...
tomato base, very generous on the minced beef and cheese...
only was a little bit too salty towards the end~
also, i think RM 28.00 was a little over priced...
anyway, i did enjoy my quiet lunch and the food was actually not bad...
few days ago, i went back for lunch again with my 'makan' buddy...
this time, they gave us a full food and drinks menu~
perhaps they were not ready during my first visit...

the bread was served hot and soft...
so nice with the butter and their homemade paste...
love the homemade paste very much but we didn't manage to finish the whole bread...

i'm loving this salad... it was so appetizing...
with the big pieces of smoked salmon and generous mixed greens~
dressed with balsamic vinegar and olive oil... healthy and yummy! =)

| Broccoli Soup RM 16.00 |
the soup was superb too...
rich and thick~ if you are a broccoli lover like me, you will enjoy it very much...

| Spaghetti Seafood RM 40.00 |
the spaghetti was good... flavourful with tad of spiciness...
only was kinda disappointed with the clams they used in the spaghetti...
somewhat made me feel like i'm actually having hawker spaghetti~
with the price we paid, i think we could expect better quality clams in it... =/

| Spaghetti Smoked Duck RM 38.00 |
this spaghetti was very much like the earlier one, only this was with smoked duck...
and because of the main ingredient was different, it tasted differently too...
it was good, generous on the smoked duck...
we enjoyed it so much~
initially, we wanted to order the paella, but it required 20 to 30 minutes of waiting time...
i couldn't wait for so long as my lunch time was only 1 hour...
will definitely return to try it and of course the other dishes they served...
Chez Rose looks very romantic at night~
next visit for dinner maybe? ^^
