Croisette Cafe, Bangsar

have been really moody lately~ everything in life is going haywire...
work, friendship and something that only for me to know~
it's kinda difficult to maintain cool and professional when it involved too much of emotions...
things that i treasure so much, it just doesn't go according the plan...
when it went beyond my control, my emotion started to go beyond too...
enough of being moody and negative, i should start fresh again tomorrow~
hopefully those happy moments my camera captured could remind me on some positiveness...

it was our first gathering of the year~
as usual, Bangsar is the area we would arrange for gathering...
San suggested this little cafe which selling French cuisine...
Croisette Cafe
located by the poolside in one of the condominiums in Bangsar...
small but nicely set up... cosy and beautifully decorated...
as it was our first visit, we didn't know what to order...
the lady owner, Michelle is a very nice person...
she recommended all the signature dishes for us to share~
she knows the menu by heart, of course~ she is the wife of the chef... =)
Rotizza Margarita  RM 10.50
mini pizza i would say~ only the base was not like normal pizza, this was very much nicer...
tomato sauce base and topped with lots of cheese...
Salad Caesar Classic  RM 14.90
when you are having so much of meat dishes, a salad is definitely great to neutralize the meal~
it was a normal Caesar salad... but how special can we expect for this type of ordinary dish?
Lamb Rack  RM 45.00
i don't quite like the lamb rack as i think it was rather too dry~
but the squarish potatoes was awesome!
it named The Gratin Dauphinois - potatoes baked in garlicky sauce...
(info from their Facebook page) =D
even my camera knows that i like the potatoes more, the focus went to the potatoes and i didn't realize until i was editing the photos... =S
Coq Au Riesling  RM 27.50
chicken braised in white wine sauce if i'm not mistaken...
can't really remember how it was cooked but i remember clearly that this was one of the popular dishes of the night~ everyone was fighting to finish it...
and that clearly showed that this was really good...
Bouillabaisse A la Bisque  RM 45.00
an unique seafood soup-like dish...
the seafood was fresh but the soup was rather fishy...
not what i will love though it was really special...
side with Bouillabaisse
these 2 little pieces came with the Bouillabaisse...
we all love these 2 little pieces so much~ too bad i didn't get to ask what was it...
Pasta Smoked Salmon  RM 22.00
cream base fettuccine with smoked salmon~
it was really creamy and very generous on the smoked salmon...
Pasta Pistou & Dried Tomatoes  RM 15.00
 a vegetarian pasta i suppose~
very much like pesto pasta that we normally have...
Duck Leg Confit  RM 30.80
Duck Leg Confit is their signature... a very famous French dish~
the chef really did it so well... it was so nice that i would return just for this...
Choco Orange Parfait  RM 12.00
France is well known with dessert~
of course as a French, the chef can surely make good dessert...
this parfait was so nice...
not overly sweet, chocolate with taste of orange...
Bavarois  RM 12.00
i wanted this just because it looked so nice in the dessert menu...
and yes~ it was nice too...
mixture of raspberry and mango mousse... yum!
everyone
we have been keeping this tradition for years...
ever since we agreed we would make ourselves free for a gathering every month, we've not missed any month without the gathering...
be it only a few of us can make it, we still carry on~
and i'm so proud of it...
BFF
i'm not sure whether she will read this~
i do hope she would understand that everyone in the gang value the friendship very much...
just that we can't expect everyone will value it with the same way...
knowing each other well and be understanding to each other are always the keys to keep our friendship well...
i can understand being the all time organizer is always tiring and sometime frustrating, but is it because of that then wanted to give up the precious friendship that we have?
i feel so bad the other day i allowed my emotion to control my words...
fighting with bestie ain't funny!!

anyway, i've gone too far, let's back to the topic...
Croisette Cafe is definitely worth at least one visit...
Chef Pierre was just appeared in China Press, he was a Michelin 2-Star Chef back in France~
because of his passion to cooking, he decided to have his own little cozy cafe with his Malaysian wife...
due to the limited seats that they have in their little cafe, reservation is highly recommended!
so, what are you waiting for?
Bon Appetit everyone!! =)
