ever since Isetan 1 Utama completed it's Eat Paradise~
all the restaurants located in Eat Paradise have been the latest hot topics in Klang Valley...
i've passed by a few time but never dine in any of the restaurants there...
Menya Musashi got my attention because it is the most lively restaurant among all~
and they always have a full house and people lining up outside...
after i read a few reviews from some bloggers, i said to myself "the next meal in 1Utama will be in Menya Musashi..."
soon enough, we went on a Saturday night...
the samurai Master Chef's portrait at the entrance |
we were thinking if we have to wait for a long time, we might make it another time...
but the waitress told us the waiting time will not take more than 5 minutes...
and yes! we got in within 5 minutes...
seated at the bar area is one of the reason why we need not to wait too long~
there's no table service there, we ordered and paid at the cashier before we got our seats...
they have very small and simple menu...
just 2 steps to order your ramen~
step 1, choose the soup:
- Shiro: the original flavour, onion flavoured oil
- Kuro: the special oil of fried shallot and garlic
- Aka: the homemade Musashi chili oil
step 2, choose the ingredients:
- Musashi: 2 slices of pork meat & half a flavoured egg
- Ramen: 1 slice of pork meat
- Ajitama: 1 slice of pork meat & 1 whole flavoured egg
- Chashu: 3 slices of pork meat
the Menya Musashi~ |
the special pepper & the homemade chili oil~ |
Iced Green Tea RM 2.00 |
as soon as we were seated, our green tea was served...
the green tea was really ice cold and very refreshing~
came in a big mug, as least bigger than what i expected...
Aka Ajitama Ramen RM 24.00 |
bei chose the spicy chili oil with a slice of pork meat and 1 whole flavoured egg...
it was flavourful and spicy~
if you prefer even spicier, feel free to add on the pepper and chili oil to your liking~
Kuro Musashi Ramen RM 26.00 |
seriously, i didn't expect it to be black in colour~
i thought it was black sesame soup and thought of changing with bei...
luckily i didn't~ i love this flavourful non-spicy special black oil very much...
it was so good that you can taste the flavour every bite you take~
Gyoza RM 9.00 |
the gyoza was okay~
but i don't think i will order it again for my next visit...
Shinjuku's Menya Musashi Master Chef, Daisuke Yamaguchi |
their Master Chef, Daisuke Yamaguchi is now taking care of the Isetan 1 Utama outlet...
not sure how long he will be staying, if you wanted to see the samurai portrait in live, do visit them ASAP~
i would say it was the best ramen in town!
the chewy, thick and very fresh tasting noodle in best murky soup with incredible depth of flavour~
and of course, the big portion of it made it value for money...
can't wait to have my 2nd round~
this time, i would want a Kuro Ajitama Ramen! =D
