Swensen's, Subang Parade

our gang's gathering for the month of September~

we had it at Swensen's, Subang Parade...

to celebrate his birthday and also to try Swensen's food...

let's check out what we had for the night... ^^

Iced Chocolate Blended  RM 15.90

 chocolate ice-cream blended with chocolate powder...

topped with whipped cream~

it was really chocolaty... 

smooth and rich...

Root Beer  RM 5.90

 as i don't fancy sweet stuff...

i had Root Beer instead of ice blended drinks... =)

Iced Chocolate Float  RM 15.90

chilled chocolate topped with chocolate ice-cream and chocolate sauce...

float always give me an impression of TOO sweet...

but it was rather chocolaty than sweet...

a good choice if you love chocolate~ ^^ 

Clam Chowder  RM 12.90

 do you spotted the baby clam?

yes! there were plenty of them in it...

baby clams, diced potatoes, carrots, onions and celeries in creamy soup...

served in a sour-dough bread bowl~

this was yummy!

hardly get a good clam chowder in the market now...

and Swensen's have it... 

Creamy Mushroom  RM 12.90

 this was AWESOME! i love it!

creamy mushroom soup served in sour-dough bread bowl~

rich, creamy and goes really well with the bread...

i'm craving of it now by looking at the picture... 

hmm... tasty!! highly recommended... =D

Grilled Chicken Burger  RM 18.90

 grilled chicken thigh topped with slice of pineapple, cherry and BBQ sauce...

served with fries and coleslaw~

the chicken was tender and juicy...

but it has too much BBQ sauce on it and made it tasted a little too sweet...

not what i will pick from the menu again... 

Chicken Baked Rice  RM 17.90

 fried breaded chicken baked with savoury rice and cheese in white sauce...

very generous on the cheese...

i took one bite of the rice...

cooked to perfection and really cheesy~ not bad!

Curry Chicken Baked Rice  RM 17.90

 curry chicken baked with savoury rice topped with keropok...

i don't really like it as the curry tasted like canned curry...

and the chicken tasted like frozen chicken...

i will not recommend this item, but if you would like to give it a try...

please do so~ who knows they might have some improvement...

Mac N' Cheese  RM 18.90

 macaroni, mushrooms and onions baked with cheese and cream sauce...

it was really tasty... i love the smaller macaroni...

portioning of the cheese was just nice...

i finished the whole dish~ =) 

if you love cheese like i do, pick this and you will love it too... 

Teriyaki Chicken Pasta  RM 24.90

 grilled chicken thigh topped with Teriyaki sauce served with spaghetti and vegetables...

the chicken was grilled to perfection, tender and juicy...

but the overloaded Teriyaki sauce has spoilt the whole dish...

too much on the sauce has made the spaghetti tasted too sweet...

or else, it could be really delicious~

Chili Crab Pasta  RM 28.90

 spaghetti, fish fillet and mushrooms in Swensen's chef chili crab sauce...

topped with fried soft shell crab...

the soft shell crab was not really crispy and i think the chili crab sauce could be spicier...

it will not be a good choice for those who takes chili with everything...

but will be just nice for those who like less spicy food... 

Firehouse Happy Birthday  RM 20.90

since we were having birthday celebration, we pick the Happy Birthday ice-cream from the menu as our birthday cake...

Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry flavour ice-cream served with whipped cream, cherry,banana and toppings...

when i first saw the menu, i thought their ice-cream was over priced...

i changed my mind when i tasted the ice-cream~

they do served good ice-cream...

Monday is always a quiet day for almost every food outlet...

 that is why we can had our photo shooting session without any interruption... =)

it was only 7 of us...

but we had a great night with good food and good companionship...

too bad we forgotten the group shoot...

anyway, would like to wish him again a belated Happy Birthday~

looking forward to our October gathering... =D
