it was a sunny Sunday~
was just awake and CL greeted me with "i'm hungry..."
then she suggested to bring us for the best barbecue pork (char siew) in SS2...
i will never say no to food hunting... =)
she told me that this restaurant served the best char siew and roasted duck in town...
it is always pack with people who dine in and waiting for take away~
the scenario we saw when we stepped in proved her words...
spotted a good seat (under the fan) and quickly got us seated...
the waiter was kinda efficient, took our order as soon as we were seated...
we ordered a few dishes for sharing and each of us had 1 wantan mee dry...
wanted to try their roasted duck but too bad, it was not available...

their roasted pork was quite good...
it was juicy, tender and just nice on the saltiness...
but it was too fat to my liking~
not the roasted pork that i will be craving for...

| Barbecue Pork (Char Siew) |
the signature char siew was really good...
they used the right part to make the char siew...
meat with some fat on it added the juiciness of the char siew and it was like melted in my mouth~
if i couldn't get the char siew from The Home Cooking Dishes (鼎丰家乡菜)...
this will be my second choice... ^^

| Dumpling Soup |
their dumpling soup was not good to me...
i can taste the ajinomoto in the soup~
and they mixed fat in the fillings...
i seriously don't like it...

| Wantan Mee Dry |
the noodle was tender and chewy...
if they could do something to get rid of the alkaline taste of the noodle...
then it would be perfect...
i remember i visited once to Chan Meng Kee before this...
it was many years back and i couldn't recall what i had for the last time...
too bad that we couldn't taste the roasted duck...
but it would be a good reason to visit them again and also for the char siew...
i believe efficiency is the key to their successful...
although it was packed full, we waited not more than 15 minutes for all our food served...
a good place to enjoy good Chinese brunch at affordable price~ =D
