Restoran Yan Ming 延茗海鲜饭店, Ipoh

went to Ipoh on last Saturday after work to have a short getaway for the long weekend...
before our departure to Ipoh,
godfather has already called and asked us to reach there by 5.30pm...
that's because dinner crowd started at about 6 - 6.30pm...
upon our arrival, auntie has already told us that she wanted to bring us
for a nice Curry Fish Head...
they've found a restaurant with good curry nearer with the house...
Restoran Yan Ming is a restaurant opened in First Garden, Ipoh last year October
(if i'm not mistaken)...
serving normal Chinese cuisine at affordable price in the neighbourhood...
guess what it is...
after we've placed our order for dishes, the waitress brought this to our table~
i've never seen people using this kind of container to serve chopped garlic and chili...
since we were there before the dinner crowd, we didn't wait long for our food to be served...
Stir Fried Pork Belly with Salted Fish  咸鱼花腩煲
Bei and godfather's favourite...
it was not the best that i ever had, but it was quite okay~
quite generous on the salted fish yet not too salty...
Curry Fish Head  咖喱鱼头
they do served good curry...
rich, flavourful and thick yet not oily...
hard to tell is the fish head fresh or not as
the curry could have cover the fishy taste if it has...
the ingredient that they mixed with the fish head was generous~
lady-fingers, eggplants, long beans and bean curds...
a nice and recommended one...
Homemade Taufu  招牌豆腐
deep fried homemade taufu topped with fried minced garlic and dried radish...
this was my favourite dish of the night~
the taufu was crispy outside, soft and smooth inside...
the dried radish added the salty taste to the taufu to perfection... yum!
it was recommended by the waiter, and i will do the same... ^^
Fried Chicken  南乳炸鸡
hardly get this type of fried chicken nowadays...
due to the expensive cost of the special paste used to marinate the chicken...
they've done it well~ but if they could cut the chicken in bigger slices, it would be perfect...
i know~ is all because of the cost of it...

the total of the bill was about RM 80 for 4 of us...
it was really reasonable...
if is in KL, the bill probably come up to about RM150...
(the advantage of staying in smaller town...^^)
their service was quite prompt, waiters and waitresses were quite alert too...
the moment you raise your hand, they come to you straight away...
i believe i will definitely have another chance to eat there~
no only it is nearer to the house, but the good quality food they served... =)
